Step On Up

PHASE 1
July 30th to August 4th
11:15-13:15

The most fundamental movement pattern representing lifelong habit and starting point context for learning other patterns is walking. One would think that there would be an ongoing updating process on optimization and early, consequent instruction for young and old. As it is, most people come to the conclusion that they must do something about the way they get around after they have been seriously injured. It takes foresight and personal discipline to study gait mechanics and change the way we walk before a crisis. In the final analysis, this pattern sits at the root of all other patterns we might execute, learn or try to learn, and so its position in the first week of the NC is no accident. No matter what your proficiency level, It is well advised to regularly subject these fundamental coordination patterns for review.
